
At Gravesend Rowing club, we are welcoming new members of any age, background and previous rowing experience. Details for new and experienced rowers are below – please note all rowers must be able to swim 50m in light clothing and tread water for 1min.
I’m a new rower, how do I learn to row?
We run Learn to Row courses for adults and juniors starting on the first weekend of each month.

When will my learn to row sessions be?
Adults will be invited to join us for an 8 week course on Sundays at 10am-12pm, and Tuesday evenings 6pm-8pm.
Juniors will be invited to join us for an 8 week course on Saturdays at 10:30am-12:30pm, and Wednesday evenings 5pm-7:30pm.
How much does a learn to row course cost?
Learn to Row courses are £100 for the 4 week (8 session) course.
I’ve filled in the form, what do I do now?
You will hear from our Learn to Row coordinator with further details about the course and how to pay. You will be invited down to attend the next available course.
I’ve rowed before, what should I do to join the club?
Please come along to one of our development squad sessions to meet the Captains and find out more. For adults, these are Sunday 10am-12pm and Tuesday 6pm-8pm. More sessions will be available as you progress.
